When you start using Telelogic SDL Suite for real-time development, you step up from low-level coding to a visual-design approach, a paradigm shift comparable to moving from Assembler to a third generation programming language, like Pascal or C. Telelogic SDL Suite's intuitive graphical syntax is simple enough for non-developers to understand structure and behavior, but still extensive enough to describe all the necessary details of a real-time system. The formality of the languages enables a number of unique features - such as the ability to simulate and mathematically validate your system, and then automatically generate and compile code that implements your system. Telelogic SDL Suite offers support for SDL-2000, which integrates UML diagrams directly as an integral part of SDL, allowing SDL designers to use UML diagrams directly in the Telelogic SDL Suite as part of the SDL design process. Other supported SDL-2000 concepts include textual algorithms, case sensitivity and operators without parameters or without return results. |
